Hard Wax
Hard Wax
If you are new to sugaring using the ball method, the hard wax is the perfect for you because it is the most beginner friendly! This is because it is able to hold its own shape for the longest period of time even in hot tropical climates, hence it is the ideal wax to pick up sugaring using the ball method.
🍍 Target Hair & Skin Type:
- Slightly sensitive skin
- Slightly coarse to moderately coarse hair type
- Ball strip or Wax strip method (heating required)
🍍 Why Hard Wax?
Without heating, hard sugar wax is made to be hard because it needs to be able to hold its shape even on contact with body heat for prolonged periods of time. Hence, heating may be required when removing the hard wax out of the jar. Heating can be done either by double boiling or using a microwave.
There are 2 methods of application - the ball method and wax strip method. Slight heating is required for application using the ball method to take the hard wax out of the jar while more heating is required for application using wax strips.
Application can be done by the ball method (slight heating may be required) or strip method (heating required). Check out our sugaring tutorials for a detailed step by step guide on sugaring!
🍍 Sugar Wax vs Regular Wax
🍍 Sugar Wax vs Regular Wax
Suitable for all skin types, our sugaring paste penetrates the hair follicles and removes every strand of hair from its root. This helps to prevent hair breakage, ingrown hair or dermal irritation. As the sugaring paste only sticks to dead, instead of living skin cells, it lowers the risk of abrasion and tear associated with regular waxing.
🍍 Long-Term Benefits of Sugaring
🍍 Long-Term Benefits of Sugaring
Our sugar wax helps to remove dead cells from the skin's surface while smoothing the skin. Since the process removes the hair from its roots, in the long run, the hair will grow back thinner and finer for progressively lower maintenance.
Each sugar wax session provides smooth skin for up to 4 weeks.

Ready for use right out of the jar, firm sugar wax is best used without heating via the cold ball method. Because of its semi-molten characteristics, firm wax is able to hold its own shape while being malleable enough to spread quickly and thinly. Hence, it is the go to for larger surface areas such as arms and legs for waxing without the need of wax strips. For the wax strips method, slight heating may be required for the waxing with wax strips.

The strongest of alll sugar waxes, the hot sugar wax is solid at room temperature, hence requires heating prior to use with wax strips. It is a must have for removing those extra stubborn and coarse hair strands. Due to its strength, refrain from using hot wax on more sensitive body parts such as the bikini area. Microwave on medium heat and check every 15s until it reaches the consistency your desire. Check on its temperature before use to avoid burns.
